Poll Shows Many Voters Still Undecided in LA Mayor’s Race

A new UCLA Luskin poll suggests the race for Los Angeles mayor remains highly unsettled just weeks before the June 2 primary, with 40% of likely voters still undecided.

Mayor Karen Bass led the field at 25%, followed by Spencer Pratt with 11% and City Councilmember Nithya Raman with 9%. Adam Miller and Rae Huang each drew 3%, while 9% of respondents said they were backing another candidate.

With no one close to a majority, the contest appears headed for a November runoff between the top two finishers. UCLA Luskin’s Zev Yaroslavsky said the large number of undecided voters makes the race unusually fluid for this stage of the campaign.
